Geothermal activity persists on Vanua Levu and Taveuni islands.[13] The geothermal systems on Viti Levu are of non-volcanic origin and exhibit low-temperature surface discharges, ranging from approximately 35 to 60 degrees Celsius (95 to 140 °F).
