What is DTDC?

DTDC or Desk to Desk Courier was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Bangalore. It has seven zonal offices, twenty regional offices strategically located throughout India, and over 430 operating facilities. Through its strategic relationship with Geopost’s DPD group – Europe’s second largest Parcels Delivery player – DTDC has begun the process of converting its identity from an Express Document Player to an Integrated Parcels Driven Business.

DTDC History

The company’s brand name has been changed to DTDC Express Limited as part of its Vision 2020 program. This aims to improve their expertise in the logistics business. The goal of the brand makeover is to portray DTDC as a full-service express logistics provider that adds considerable value to the markets it serves around the world.

Through its wide network of over 10500 franchisees, DTDC Express Limited has a presence in over 500 district headquarters. It provides services to over 10,500 Pin codes, handling over 12 million shipments every month.

DTDC Express Limited also has a significant global footprint, serving 240 international locations through its own operations, joint ventures, and business associates, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Australia, China, and all Asian countries.

In the 3rd edition of Bengaluru Brand Summit & Hot Brands, 2018, DTDC Express Ltd was named one of Bengaluru’s “Hot 50 Brands”, in which Paul Writer organized the event. On the 6th of February 2018, the award ceremony was held in Bengaluru. After a thorough process of jury evaluation and public vote, the list of Bengaluru’s Hot 50 brands is compiled.

In a study conducted by Business Today, India’s leading business publication, DTDC was named the “BEST COMPANY TO WORK FOR” in 2018. The award was given as part of the magazine’s nationwide search for the “TOP 25 COMPANIES TO WORK FOR”. DTDC won the “OTHERS AND DIVERSIFIED” industry category and was also named the “Sectorial winner”.
