A Dream That Took Shape

When I started my BTech journey, I was always intrigued by how machines could predict outcomes and automate decision-making. The buzz around Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning fascinated me, but at the same time, it felt like an overwhelming mountain to climb. I had heard a lot about complex algorithms, deep learning models, and real-world applications, but understanding them felt like an impossible task.

By the time I reached Final year, things changed drastically.

The Decision to Dive into Machine Learning

By the time I reached my fourth year, I decided to upskill in Machine Learning, but the real challenge was finding the right approach. I didn’t just want theoretical knowledge; I wanted to get hands on knowledge. That’s when I made the decision to go for DataFlair after watching their free videos on youtube.

Learning, Unlearning & Relearning – The Journey

Initially the learning was not easy for me as there were many difficult algorithms and models that I was finding difficult to understand. Then instead of just watching tutorials, I started doing practical implementation.

The Big Break – My Pre-Placement Offer at Course5 Intelligence

As placement season approached, I had built a strong foundation in ML, along with a set of projects that showcased my skills. When I got the opportunity to apply for Course5 Intelligence, I knew this was my chance.

The selection process was challenging. But what gave me an edge was my practical approach. Instead of just explaining concepts, I demonstrated how I had applied them in real projects. My ability to think through real-world problems, optimize solutions, and present insights effectively helped me crack the interview, and I was offered a pre-placement role!

Lessons from My Journey

• Hands-on Learning is Everything: No matter how much theory you know, real growth happens when you start implementing concepts in actual projects.
• Don’t Fear Failure: Some of my models failed miserably in the beginning, but every failure taught me something new.
• Consistency Matters: Spending an hour every day on ML helped me more than cramming everything at the last moment.
