Despite having a solid understanding of the software, we may want assistance with certain elements from time to time. PowerPoint includes a tool called Context Help that can help in these situations. If you are stuck in a dialogue, you may use this function to hit F1 and PowerPoint will open the help subject for that dialogue. This is incredibly useful since you won’t have to waste time looking through all of the assistance subjects to get the one you need.

All about Context Help:

The context assistance is based on the currently active window, not the item you’ve chosen.

As your active window is still the main PowerPoint application, if you choose an image and click F1, you will receive the generic help panels.

When you hit F1 on any other dialogue or window, PowerPoint context help will display the corresponding help subject. The context help will not operate if you continue to work exclusively with the ribbon choices on the screen.

However, you may press F1 to learn more about the associated functions of such shapes and objects if you right-click on them and access the corresponding editing dialogues.

Summary:

PowerPoint’s manual is all set to serve whenever you need it. All you need to do is press the F1 button on your keyboard and an abundance of knowledge is just a click away. Save this shortcut in a corner of your mind, for you might need it in the most unexpected times.
