What is the full form of PS?

PS stands for Postscript, derived from the Latin term “post scriptum,” meaning “written after”. It is an afterthought that a person incorporates into a document or letter, probably at the end after writing and signing it. It can either be a paragraph, sentence, or maybe multiple paragraphs that are incidental and written in haste after signing a letter or the main body of a book or essay.

A person usually adds it when he or she has forgotten to add it in the main body of the letter. It helps connect a statement to a written text like if an author wishes to elaborate on a particular instance in the letter without interfering with the message flow they can make use of PS.

Way of adding PS

1. Incorporate at the end of the letter after the signature line.
2. Skip a line after the signature line to add PS.
