RPM Examples

  • The modern dental drills of the air turbine have a rotational speed of about 13.3 kHz (800,000 RPM).
  • 1 RPM is the speed at which a second-hand conventional analog clock rotates.
  • The rotation frequency of the innermost periphery of a disc is 1530 RPM and the rotation frequency of the outer periphery of a disc is 630 RPM.
  • The rotational speed of the drum of a washing machine differs from 500 to 2,000 RPM.
