New Management School Launched by BITS for Data Science, E-Commerce and Entrepreneurship

BITSoM – The new-age global business school for the visionary leaders of tomorrow

The BITS Pilani Group, known for their engineering institutes launched a management school of theirs named BITSoM or BITS School of management, which is offering 120 seats.

While the admission in same will be based on CAT, GMAT, GRE.

Currently, the institute is offering a two-year degree with a specialization in new-age courses. This includes entrepreneurship, innovation, e-commerce, digital leadership, finance, and skill-specific courses such as science, design thinking too.

The Institute will be set up in Mumbai, India, and the building and operational budget is estimated at RS1500 crore.

During the set-up currently, the functions will start at BITS Powai, Mumbai campus.

The institute is claiming to bring faculty from leading business schools around the world as professors from top B- Schools named NYU Stern School of Business, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Singapore management university, and Kellogg School of management Chicago. Also, the group is claiming to gather top industry practitioners.

When asked about the entrance exam or the academic qualification required, according to the designated Dean of the institute DR. Ranjan Banerjee, these are not the only criteria in which the student will be selected.

The institute aims to create a diverse campus with students from both engineering and non-engineering background.

It also aims to train independent and creative thinkers who do not accept the world the way it is and are working to bring a change.
