The SBI has different sets of examinations to hire candidates for different positions. In case of hiring the junior associate, they conduct the SBI Clerk examination. This is an annual exam with lakhs of applicants. In 2020 there were more than 8000 vacancies in the banks across the country.

These associates act as a clerical cadre in different branches of SBI every year. This job mostly attracts the young generation who recently graduated from their colleges. The reason is the entry-level secure and high-income job.

This attracts many youngsters to apply for this position. Many experienced job workers also apply for the security aspect of the job. The exam pattern is similar to other SBI exams but this doesn’t have interviews at the final stage.

The reason seems to be the lower level or entry-level position. This exam has two stages – the prelims and the mains which have an overlapping syllabus. The sections also remain the same only mains have general awareness as an extra topic. The important elements of the examination are –

SBI Clerk Application and Admit Card

The application fees for the exam are –

The Admit Card gets available on the SBI official page before the examination. There is a separate card for prelims and the mains examination. Candidates must carry a print out of the card to the center. Registration number and DOB will allow applicants to download their admit cards.

SBI Clerk Result and Cut off

The SBI releases a merit list at the end of the examination process. The cut off for the prelims comes before on the basis which the candidates appear for the mains. The cut off differs from category to category. It is generally high for the general category and lower for the reserved category.
