Bucketing in Hive
In order to decompose table data sets into more manageable parts, Hive provides another technique that is what we call Bucketing in Hive.Advantages of Bucketing in Hive
i. Bucketed tables provide the efficient sampling.
ii. On bucketed tables, Map-side joins will be faster.
iii. Tables those are bucketed, offer faster query responses.
