The group includes the Beijing dialect, the basis of the phonology of Standard Chinese. Mandarin originated in North China. Most Mandarin varieties have four tones. The final stops of the Middle Chinese have disappeared in most of these varieties.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>English &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">English is a West Germanic language first spoken in early medieval England which eventually became the leading language of international discourse in today\u2019s world. English is most closely related to Frisian and Low Saxon while the vocabulary has been influenced by other Germanic languages.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Spanish &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a Romance language that originated in the Iberian Peninsula of Europe. It has evolved from several dialects of Vulgar Latin in Iberia after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. Beginning in 1492, the Spanish language was taken to the viceroyalties of the Spanish Empire, most notably to the Americas, as well as territories in Africa, Oceania, and the Philippines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Arabic &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a Semitic language that first emerged in the 1st to 4th centuries CE. It is now the lingua franca of the Arab world. It is named after the Arabs, a term initially used to describe peoples living in the area bounded by Mesopotamia in the east and the Anti-Lebanon mountains in the west, in northwestern Arabia, and in the Sinai Peninsula.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Hindi &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in India. Hindi is often described as a standardized and Sanskritised register of the Hindustani language, which itself is based primarily on the Khariboli dialect of Delhi and neighboring areas of Northern India. It <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is written in Devanagari script.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Bengali &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also known as Bangla. It is an Indo-Aryan language and the lingua franca of the Bengal region of the Indian subcontinent spoken by the Bengalis in Bangladesh and India. It is the most widely spoken language in Bangladesh. Bengali literature with its millennium-old literary history, has extensively developed since the Bengali Renaissance and is one of the most prolific and diverse literary traditions in Asia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Russian &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an East Slavic language native to the Russians in Eastern Europe. It is an official language in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan as well as in other Baltic states and Central Asia. Russian is the largest native language in Europe and the most geographically widespread language in Eurasia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Portuguese &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0It is a Western Romance language originating in the Iberian Peninsula of Europe. It is the sole official language of Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea -Bissau, Mozambique, Angola, and Sao Tome and Principe.
