Meet Chandresh who recently got placed in Infosys as the senior member of technical staff. He had spent 5 years in Java technology and after taking a course from DataFlair he transformed his career in Big Data.<\/p>\n

Why and when he felt a need to upskill<\/h2>\n

After spending over 5 years in the field of Java<\/strong>, Chandresh realized that he was working for such a technology which has a stagnating career<\/strong>. This realization pushed him to explore more options for his career. Hear it from Chandresh -<\/p>\n

\n

We are living in that time where technology is updating after every single second. It generates a need for upskilling<\/strong> and that's what happened to me. I was working with Java where there is limited career growth<\/strong> and like others, I also want a bright career for my future. That was the moment when I felt a need to upskill myself with the latest technology. The technology I found was Big Data<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Why he chose Big Data<\/h2>\n

Java is the technology which was used earlier and now it is stagnating. In today's scenario, many people are switching their career in different domains, most of them selected Big Data. The reasons why people are selecting Big Data after Java - Java is the base of Big Data, it is said that Big Data learners must have Java knowledge<\/strong> as one of the prerequisites. Not only this, there are many other reasons like, Big data is the technology which meets our current requirement of handling TBs of data<\/strong> which no other technology could do. And data proliferation will never end, so Big Data will be used for many decades to handle and manage the data.<\/p>\n

In the 1990s<\/strong>, Java entered the market and people were shifting from that, but till the year 2005-2006<\/strong>, there were very less upgradation. After that, many new technologies have come, with the bright future scopes. I selected Big Data because this is the new technology and which will last for decades. Moreover, it provides many benefits like - high paying jobs<\/strong>, secure career, I could use my previous Java experience, many big companies demand Big Data and Hadoop skilled professionals<\/em>. Not only this, most of the market is captured by Hadoop and its components, so soon it will become mandatory for all to learn Big Data and Hadoop. For all the above reasons, I decided to learn\u00a0Big Data and planned my career in it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What steps he took for making a career in Big Data<\/h2>\n

After deciding to learn Big Data, Chandresh enrolled for the Big Data Hadoop and Spark Course<\/strong><\/a> at DataFlair. This was his first step which took him toward the success. After joining the course, he attended all the sessions sincerely and worked hard for projects and assignments.<\/p>\n

DataFlair was the first and most important step that carved my career in Big Data<\/strong>. Each session I attended there was like a step for me. I always followed the instruction of my mentor, his teaching methods, guidance and experience in the field are just awesome. With the theory sessions, I grabbed the best practical experience. There I used to work on live projects, small assignments with each topic that helped to crack the Big Data interview. After the learning part, I attended mock interview sessions from Big Data experienced<\/strong> which was the best part of my online Hadoop and Spark training. In the above discussed steps, I completed my learning.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Big Data Interview Experience<\/h2>\n

Chandresh faced 2 rounds of technical interviews<\/strong>. Questions asked from Hadoop and its\u00a0ecosystems, Java, and some scenario based questions.<\/p>\n

Q.1<\/strong> Explain the Hadoop and Spark project you worked on.<\/p>\n

Q.2<\/strong> Explain the producer-consumer problem.<\/p>\n

Q.3<\/strong> Can RDD has multiple parent RDD?<\/p>\n

Q.4<\/strong> What is the lineage?<\/p>\n

Q.5<\/strong> Explain the data structures.<\/p>\n

Before facing the interview I watched the videos given by DataFlair that helped to revise all the concepts. After that, I read the interview questions published by them. I cracked the interview.
