a. Apache Solr<\/h3>\n

For leader election and centralized configuration, Apache Solr uses Zookeeper.<\/span><\/p>\n

b. Apache Mesos<\/h3>\n

A tool which offers efficient resource isolation and sharing across distributed applications, as a cluster manager is what we call Apache Mesos. Hence for the fault-tolerant replicated master, Mesos uses ZooKeeper.<\/span><\/p>\n

c. Yahoo!<\/span><\/h3>\n

As we all know ZooKeeper was originally built at \u201cYahoo!\u201d, so for several requirements like robustness, data transparency, centralized configuration, better performance, as well as coordination, they designed Zookeeper.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

d. Apache Hadoop<\/span><\/h3>\n

As we know behind the growth of Big Data<\/strong> industry, Apache Hadoop is the driving force. So, for configuration management and coordination, Hadoop relies on ZooKeeper.<\/span><\/p>\n

Multiple ZooKeeper servers\u00a0endure large Hadoop clusters, that’s why in order to retrieve and update synchronization information, each client machine communicates with one of the ZooKeeper servers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Like:<\/span>\u00a0Human Genome Project, a<\/span>s there are terabytes of data in Human Genome Project, So, In order to analyze the dataset and find interesting facts for human development, it uses Hadoop MapReduce<\/strong> framework.<\/span><\/p>\n

e. Apache HBase<\/span><\/h3>\n

An open source, distributed, NoSQL database<\/strong> which we use for real-time read\/write access of large datasets\u00a0is what we call\u00a0Apache HBase<\/strong>. While it comes to Zookeeper,\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0installation of\u00a0HBase distributed application depends on a running ZooKeeper cluster.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, to track the status of distributed data throughout the master and region servers, Apache HBase uses ZooKeeper. Now use-cases of HBase<\/strong> are \u2212<\/span><\/p>\n

i. Telecom<\/h4>\n

One of them is the Telecom industry. As it stores billions of mobile call records\u00a0and further access them in real time. Hence we can say it uses HBase to process all the records in real time, easily and efficiently.<\/span><\/p>\n

ii. Social network<\/h4>\n

Like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook receives huge volumes of data on daily basis so to find recent trends and other interesting facts it also uses HBase.<\/span><\/p>\n

f. Apache Accumulo<\/span><\/h3>\n

Moreover, on top of Apache ZooKeeper (and Apache Hadoop), another sorted distributed key\/value store “Apache Accumulo” is built.<\/span><\/p>\n

g. Neo4j<\/span><\/h3>\n

For write master selection and read slave coordination, No4j is a distributed graph database\u00a0which uses ZooKeeper.<\/span><\/p>\n

h. Cloudera <\/span><\/h3>\n

Basically, for centralized configuration management, Cloudera search integrates search functionality with Hadoop by using ZooKeeper.<\/span>
